Knitting & Crocheting Circle
Our Knitting and Crocheting Circle is a group of
parishioners who gather monthly to knit or crochet blankets and
other items. Over the past six years, this dedicated group has
made:
1064 blankets
63 sweater sets
200 miscellaneous hats, bibs, booties,
walker carry-alls and other items
These items are donated to the Pregnancy Center, the Linus
Project, and area hospitals. The group thanks all who have given
yarn or cash donations for supplies. Donations are always needed
and appreciated. Any and all types and colors of yarn are
greatly appreciated. New members are welcome at any time.
-
The
Circle meets on the second Thursday of every month in the Julie
Room, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. New members may attend a meeting at
any time; no need to call first.
-
The
group has patterns available or members bring their own.
-
Members
help each other as needed, and each person works at her own
pace. Many work on their projects at home between
meetings.
-
Donations
of acrylic yarn (pastel colors preferred) are used for their
work, and the completed items are donated for use in the
community. Cash donations are welcome, too.
