The Evangelization Ministries reach out beyond the church walls to the community, sharing the Good News and inviting those who seek a faith home. Evangelization is the responsibility of every baptized Catholic. It is the way in which the saving words and works of the Lord Jesus are shared with people everywhere. This ministry strives to help everyone grow in faith, hope, and love by reaching out, both those who are members of the Church and to those who do not yet know the Lord or who no longer practice their faith.
We strive to make the parish visible in the community and work with all parish ministries to reach out in charity to those with whom they connect.
The Evangelization Ministry provides a variety of opportunities through which adults are invited, encouraged, and enabled to enrich their faith. These include Adult Faith Formation opportunities (workshops and talks); Small Faith-Sharing Groups; a Lenten Mission; the St. Monica Ministry prayer group for those whose loved ones no longer practice their faith; greeters at weekend Masses, a booth at the Parkville Towne Fair each September; reaching out to new parishioners in welcome; and more.
