Friends Forever / Bereavement

Friends Forever is a social group, previously known as Consoling Friends. Any person who has lost a loved one in the past is invited to join. The group meets several times a year ~ a general meeting in March, an indoor picnic in June, a pot-luck supper in September, the All Souls Day Mass in November, and a Christmas party in December. The group also sponsors day and overnight bus trips. Members often invite friends who have lost a loved one to join the group activities. Also, a few months after the funeral, Friends Forever members contact parishioners that have suffered a recent loss to see how they are coping and to offer information about grief counseling and bereavement resources in the community. New members are always welcome.
